Connection type and requirements based on your project parameters.
Each emirate is served by a distinct utility authority with its own application procedures, technical standards and service levels.
Dubai Electricity & Water Authority serves the Emirate of Dubai. LV connections up to 200kW are processed through the online portal. Loads above 200kW require an MV supply and a dedicated substation. NOC typically takes 4–8 weeks for standard commercial projects.
Abu Dhabi Distribution Company covers Abu Dhabi city and Al Ain. Projects above 150kW typically require MV connection. Abu Dhabi mandates Estidama Pearl Rating compliance for new buildings — minimum 1 Pearl for private, 2 Pearl for government.
Sharjah Electricity, Water & Gas Authority serves Sharjah, Khor Fakkan and Kalba. LV supply available up to 160kW. Larger loads require MV at 11kV. Applications through Sharjah eServices portal; technical approval from SEWA Engineering is mandatory before construction.
Federal Electricity & Water Authority serves Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah, Ajman and Umm Al Quwain. Uniform technical standards apply across all four emirates. MV threshold is 100kW. Processing times are generally 6–10 weeks. Green building requirements follow UAE Green Building Council guidelines.
Our power infrastructure engineers handle end-to-end utility coordination — from NOC application and load flow studies through to substation design, transformer sizing and commissioning support for DEWA, ADDC, SEWA and FEWA projects.
